LS101: Life Skills and Leadership is a General Studies course designed to develop essential life competencies and foundational leadership skills necessary for personal effectiveness, academic success, and responsible citizenship. The course equips students with practical skills for self-management, interpersonal relations, ethical decision-making, and leadership in diverse social and organizational contexts.
The course explores key life skills such as communication, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, teamwork, and adaptability, alongside leadership concepts including self-leadership, servant leadership, ethical leadership, and community leadership. Emphasis is placed on values-based leadership, integrity, accountability, and service to others.
Through reflective learning, practical activities, and real-life case studies, students are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of responsibility toward their communities and institutions. By the end of the course, students will demonstrate improved life skills, emerging leadership competence, and the ability to apply leadership principles ethically and effectively in academic, professional, and social environments.
