
This Old Testament Survey course offers a comprehensive exploration of the Old Testament, focusing on its historical, theological, and literary dimensions. Students will engage with the structure, key themes, and canonical unity of the Old Testament, tracing God’s covenantal relationship with His people from Genesis to Malachi.
The course examines the Law (Pentateuch), Historical Books, Wisdom Literature, and Prophets, demonstrating how the Old Testament lays the foundation for the New Testament’s fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Special attention will be given to covenants, prophetic hope, wisdom traditions, and Israel’s journey with God.
Through this study, students will develop tools to apply Old Testament teachings to faith, ministry, and daily life. The course balances academic depth with practical insights, fostering theological reflection and a deeper understanding of God’s redemptive work throughout history.
