PS101: Personal Development, Study Skills, and Life Orientation is a foundational General Studies course designed to support students’ academic success, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. The course equips students with essential study skills, self-management strategies, and life competencies necessary for effective learning, goal setting, and adaptation to university life.

The course addresses key areas such as time management, critical thinking, academic reading and writing strategies, note-taking, examination preparation, communication skills, and the responsible use of technology for learning. It also explores personal development topics including self-awareness, motivation, stress management, ethical decision-making, and career planning.

Through reflective activities and practical applications, students are encouraged to develop positive attitudes toward learning, personal responsibility, and lifelong growth. By the end of the course, students will demonstrate improved academic skills, greater self-discipline and confidence, and the ability to apply personal development principles to academic, professional, and social contexts.
